Charter Spectrum Drops ESPN and Disney Channels Amid Renewal Dispute
  • 8 months ago
Charter Spectrum cable systems have removed ESPN and other Disney Entertainment channels from their lineup due to a dispute over renewal terms for their pay TV deal. The U.S. Tennis Association has expressed disappointment over the loss of ESPN coverage, and other channels, including ABC-owned stations and Disney-branded channels, have also gone off-air. Disney is seeking higher rates and terms, while Charter Spectrum claims Disney is demanding an excessive increase and limiting customer choice.
