Energy costs continue to be the main driver of high prices, rising 38.3% in August vs. last year. Food, alcohol, and tobacco also rose at faster rates. Core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, held steady at 4.3% in August, highlighting broader inflation pressures.
