Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and his economic team, including potential deputy finance minister Julaphan Amornwiwat, visited Muang Thai Phatra Market in Bangkok’s Huai Khwang district on Thursday to discuss problems its vendors face.

Srettha said that he would make tackling the rising cost of living, energy prices, and cooking fuel his main priorities and the issues would top the agenda of his first cabinet meeting.

During his visit, he was welcomed by supporters who chanted: “Prime Minister Srettha [will make] Thai people become millionaires”.

He also met with Nualphan Lamsam, CEO of Muang Thai Insurance and manager of Thailand's national football team
