Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema received a hero's welcome during his unveiling for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad on Thursday.

The Frenchman was given a grand welcome by his new club in front of 60,000 supporters. The words "KB9" were marked on the pitch.

The 35-year-old lifted his Ballon d'Or 2022 award at King Abdullah Sports City.

Benzema recently brought an end to his 14-year spell with Los Blancos.

Al-Ittihad, led by former Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espírito Santo, were crowned the Saudi Pro League champions in the 2022-23 season.
