Emma Memma put smiles on dials with a special visit to Port Macquarie.

00:00 Emma is here at the Koala Hospital and we've got Astrid too, one of the vets here.

00:07 Emma, can I just say how wonderful it is to see you in Port Macquarie.

00:12 Is this your first time in our town or have you visited before?

00:16 I've probably been to Port Macquarie about 10 times over the last decade.

00:21 We've been here a lot but we've never actually had a chance to come and visit people without being here at the show.

00:27 So to be here at the Koala Hospital today is beautiful because not only do we get to meet the children

00:32 but we get to see a lot of the care that's being done here at the hospital.

00:35 And in the last decade of performing I never really had an opportunity to be able to meet anybody.

00:41 So this is really special.

00:43 And is koalas a species that you're particularly fond of?

00:47 We're really fond of all animals but in particular koalas and wombats.

00:51 We have a wombat character in our show called Waffles the Wombat.

00:54 Not yet a koala but maybe we'll have to name it Astrid.

00:57 And Astrid, can you say is it pretty special having a celebrity like Emma here at the hospital today?

01:05 I feel very privileged and very glad that EMI is taking the time to come and pay us a visit.
