'National Dog Day Bash' at Club K9 benefiting the Kentucky Humane Society
In honor of National Dog Day, the Kentucky Humane Society celebrated with a "National Dog Day Bash."
Pups and their owners were invited to the free event at Club K9 Dog Park and Bar, on Taylorsville Road.
The event featured doggie vendors, raffles and games for owners and their furry friends.
"You’re coming out, you’re celebrating but you’re also supporting your local shelters, which is awesome," said Haley Aldridge with KHS. "You get to have fun and help at the same time and these dog bars are just awesome for socializing dogs."
Anyone looking to grow their family was able to adopt a puppy or dog at the event.
Anyone who adopted a dog Saturday from any KHS location received a free year to Club K9.
