South Warrnambool 15 and under reserves coach Josie Ellerton and best-on-court winner Ruby McKinley speak after the Roosters won the grand final.

00:03 under grand final. How are you feeling? Yeah good, excited, relieved. It was a pretty tough game against

00:09 Warrnambool and you broke away in the last quarter. What did you put that down to?

00:12 I think we knew what we needed to do, we just had to do it properly.

00:17 There were obviously nerves, Warrnambool were really good and they really took it to us.

00:21 But I think we just kept, we had our plays and we knew what needed to do so we

00:25 just kept working at it and eventually we broke. So it was good.

00:28 And Ruby, best on court, how are you feeling? I'm pretty good. What did you make of your performance?

00:33 Well done Josie. Yeah I think it was alright.

00:37 And rebounding and putting that shot up, so yeah she was amazing.

00:41 And premiers and champions, Josie what does that mean for you and the team?

00:45 It just capped off an amazing year, we've had such a great year with our Saturday girls, we train as a squad.

00:51 And we've had such a great year on and off the court so it was really good for that final win to really cap it off.

00:56 Excellent, and were there any other standout performers today do you think?

00:59 I think every one of our players got on the court which was fantastic, they all played their role.

01:04 Our defenders Lottie and Ginger, they were amazing.

01:08 Lowell Arthur-Warren with goal attack, she's a great player so they did really well in minimising her impact.

01:14 Yeah I think everyone across the court played their role which is what we needed to do, play as a team and that's what we did.

01:20 And did you see a lot of development across the season?

01:22 Yeah I think so, they all grew and became a team together.

01:27 Yeah, and you could see, I mean grand finals are very different and they're hard, but you could see some of our plays, they were beautiful.

01:35 What we've been working on all season.

01:37 And what about celebrations?

01:39 We have our presentation night tonight and so our under 13 reserves had a win as well.

01:44 And it looks like maybe our footballers are going to have a win so hopefully it will be a good night up the South.
