00:47 So being a Brownie isn't like a normal job,

00:50 like being a priest or a magician?

00:55 Journalist, okay.

00:58 It's a vocation. You don't work hard to become a Brownie.

01:02 You just wake up one day and you are one.

01:05 It's like being a PE teacher.

01:11 One day you're 9 years old, you're lying in your bed,

01:13 and your mum comes into your room and says,

01:15 "Tuesday evenings are for me and Darren now!

01:18 You're going to be a Brownie!"

01:20 [laughter]

01:23 I've been serving for 3 years. These are my badges.

01:27 The footpath badge. I'm not a car, so I shouldn't be on the road!

01:33 The Worcestershire badge. Worcestershire, that's my regiment.

01:36 Worcestershire, named after the sauce.

01:39 [laughter]

01:40 A lot of places are, but they've moved away from their saucy pasts.

01:45 Like, HP is now Hampshire.

01:51 And ketchup is now Kettering.

01:56 And mayo is now County...

02:00 ...Wexford.

02:04 The entertainment badge. I'll get another one of these tonight,

02:06 depending how entertaining I am!

02:11 The hostess badge. I got this from making my mum a cup of tea.

02:14 I would have got two if I made one for Darren!

02:17 [laughter]

02:20 The home skills badge. I got this for taking a pigeon out of the attic.

02:24 I went up there, into the attic, I bent down,

02:27 and I looked at it dead in the eyes, because it was dead.

02:31 And I said, "This is mine and my mum's house pigeon,

02:33 and there's not room for you here as well!"

02:36 And then I took it outside and I punched it into the ground!

02:43 The seconder badge. I can't be in charge because of the things I do.

02:50 The sewing badge. I sewed a dog's lips shut.

02:57 No more!

03:02 The further badge. I was demoted because of the dog thing.

03:07 And the brownie holiday badge. We went to Cheekwell,

03:10 and it was very nice!
