Frugals Burger Shop Sued After Man Dies From Contaminated Milkshake

A woman named Linda Roberson from Thurston County is suing Frugals, a burger shop in Tacoma, after her husband Charles Roberson got sick and died from listeria infections linked to contaminated milkshakes from the Tacoma Frugals location. The Washington State Department of Health identified the outbreak as linked to the milkshake machines at Frugals Tacoma, which likely weren't properly cleaned allowing listeria bacteria to grow over time. At least 6 people in Washington got sick between February and July, resulting in three deaths, including Roberson. The lawsuit argues that Frugals was negligent and caused Charles Roberson's wrongful death. It's seeking damages to be determined in court.
