Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tells traffic warden 'you have to pay for a picture!' after being handed a parking ticket in hilarious exchange

The Spaniard, who saw his Manchester City side scrape past Newcastle United and continue their winning start to the Premier League season on Saturday evening, suffered a blow off the field after he was pictured and recorded receiving a parking fine in Manchester.

As Guardiola returned to his car, a traffic warden handed him a ticket and asked him for a photograph.

As captured on TikTok, the Man City manager joked in response: 'You want a picture? You have to pay for the picture!'

The comedic moment comes after Guardiola was spotted joking with a Man City fan during their clash with Newcastle.

When the supporter begged for a substitution in the match late on, the Catalan retorted that maybe he should sit in the dugout and try it himself.

After the match, Guardiola hailed his team for their resilience after sending the players to do a lap of honor at the Etihad.

‘This game was proof of why we have won a lot,’ said a delighted Guardiola, who gestured for his players to celebrate their win in front of the fans.

‘The mindset and mentality of the players amaze me every time. The conditions with which we arrived, injuries, and no rest, they played well. The commitment was amazing.’

After winning the Treble last season, Guardiola's standards are higher than ever but he will know that it will be near impossible to repeat the feat.

He'll be hoping that things continue smoothly on the pitch, despite his worries about parking fines off it.
