Retaliatory Illegal Traffic Stop - June 17, 2022

On June 17th, 2022, a motorist called Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office dispatch to advise that a deputy had a brake light out. Her intent wasn't to get the deputy into trouble, rather her intent was just to be a good citizen and let him know. Upon being advised, the deputy pulled over and let the motorist pass him. She was driving a new vehicle with a temporary tag, so the deputy pulled her over under the guise of "no license plate," but it's clear it was in retaliation for calling him in.
