Sixth form students are celebrating their A-level and BTEC results and looking forward to their futures

00:00 I've been studying A-Level Maths, Physics and Economics.

00:03 And what results have you had?

00:05 I got two A*s and one A.

00:07 How are you feeling today?

00:09 I'm feeling very, very excited and very shocked that I did that well.

00:13 I wasn't really expecting it.

00:14 I think everyone else was, but in my mind I had some doubts.

00:18 But in the end I'm very happy that I've got into Cambridge.

00:21 Okay, so what are you going to be doing at Cambridge?

00:25 I'm studying Economics.

00:27 And how are you feeling? How excited are you going to come across?

00:32 I'm very excited. I'm a bit nervous because obviously everyone else there will be really smart and everything.

00:38 But I think at the end of the day it is a really good uni and I'm very excited to be studying there.

00:44 And what do you hope to do in the future once you've finished your uni?

00:47 I'm not too sure. Maybe working in a big corporation in London.

00:52 I would like to live in London. It would just be very nice.

00:55 Yeah, working as maybe a stockbroker or something like that would be really good.

01:00 Have you had any work experience in that sort of area?

01:03 Not much yet, but I think at uni, hopefully with summer schemes I'll be able to gain more.

01:09 I did double sport and business, BTECs.

01:15 What were your results?

01:17 So I got a distinction star and a distinction.

01:20 And how are you feeling today?

01:22 I'm absolutely buzzing. I'm so happy that all my hard work has paid off.

01:26 So what's the plan now?

01:28 I'm going to do sports science at UA92 in Manchester.

01:32 And what's the ultimate ambition?

01:34 To become a sport therapist, hopefully for a football club.

01:38 I got two A stars and a double distinction star.

01:50 Fine art, graphic design and film and TV production.

01:54 I'm going to York University to study film and TV.

01:59 What do you want to do at UA92? What's the biggest ambition?

02:04 To work for the BBC or a big production company.

02:11 I've been studying double uniform protective services, BTEC and A level modern history.

02:17 And what did you get?

02:19 A triple distinction star and C.

02:21 And what's the plan now?

02:23 My plan is to go to the University of Salford to study intelligence analysis.

02:27 And hopefully after that I intend to work for the government.

02:30 And what have you been studying?

02:32 I've done an extended diploma in sports science.

02:36 I've done physics, chemistry and maths A levels.

02:39 Okay and what results have you got today?

02:43 I got triple distinction star.

02:45 I got three A stars.

02:47 How are you feeling?

02:49 Very pleased, very happy.

02:51 I'm pleased, I'm happy.

02:53 Were you expecting to get good results or are you a bit shocked?

02:56 I knew my results coming in today because I was on a BTEC.

03:01 It was pretty expected today but it's still a nice feeling.

03:05 I was expecting to do well but this is really good.

03:09 And what are you doing in September?

03:12 I'm off to UCLan to study sports journalism.

03:16 I'm going to Lancaster to study mechanical engineering.

03:20 And what's the ultimate goal?

03:23 To work as a media officer inside a football club.

03:29 That would be the dream for me.

03:31 I want to be an automotive engineer.

03:34 Are you two brothers?

03:36 We're twins.

03:37 Twin brothers, yeah.

03:39 Two minutes older.

03:41 And you've got quite different aspirations.

03:44 Just a little bit.

03:46 No sibling rivalry then?

03:50 I'm sure he'd say there used to be when we were in the same classes.

03:55 But not really now, no.

03:57 So what are you doing to celebrate?

03:59 I don't actually know.

04:01 We might go for a meal at some point.

04:03 Yeah.

04:04 Yeah.

04:05 Yeah.
