Hi, I'm Laura Reed, the Deputy Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post.
00:04
I just thought I'd come on to talk you through some of the features that we've had online and in print this week.
00:09
So there's lots of long reads that you can go back and have a look at if you've missed them.
00:14
And we've of course got our Yorkshire Post magazine coming out as part of the weekend edition on Saturday,
00:21
which will have lots more features in there too.
00:25
So at the start of the week, we looked back at 50 years of Chatsworth farmyards at the Chatsworth Estate in Bakewell.
00:33
Those behind the popular farm reflected on half a century in operation and also look to the future,
00:40
urging people to buy local and support British farming.
00:45
Meanwhile, Wakefield-born Jane MacDonald revealed what viewers can expect from her new travel series, Lost in Japan.
00:52
She claims part of that she saw Mount Fuji while sitting naked in a hot spa.
00:58
We heard from Hull creative prop maker Natasha Nichols about her participation in the televised Ultimate Wedding Planner competition
01:06
and how she ended up getting into the business.
01:09
And we also spoke to the Leeds doctor who's at the forefront of trialling artificial intelligence within the NHS's breast screening service.
01:18
Dr. Nita Sharma is preparing for the start of a landmark study in the city over the coming weeks.
01:25
We looked at how a new campaign aims to make the Yorkshire coastline the number one destination to visit in the UK at all times of the year.
01:32
And that's got a particular focus on what's on offer in autumn and winter.
01:38
And we featured two Yorkshire contestants who are taking part in TV competition alone,
01:43
which sees them challenge themselves to get by in the wilderness.
01:47
In Arts and Culture, we looked at the National Theatre's streaming service and how it saves Yorkshire audiences a journey to London.
01:54
And we looked ahead to next month, when an exciting new immersive theatre piece about climate change and climate migration
02:00
will be performed by over 100 young people in a co-production between the National Youth Theatre and Leeds 2023.
