Sarina Wiegman expects a “tight and competitive” game against Australia in the Women’s World Cup semi-finals.

The Lionesses’ boss also argued that co-hosts aren’t “the underdogs” as they have the advantage of playing on their home turf.

“They play at home, the stadium will be really full. So I think it’s two teams that are very strong, that have grown into the tournament,” Wiegman said, previewing the fixture, which will see England or Australia book their place in the World Cup final.

“I think it’s going to be very tight and it’s going to be very, very competitive.”
