Rishi Sunak has been asked if he was personally warned about potential risks to asylum seekers onboard the Bibby Stockholm barge.

Dodging the question, the prime minister said it was right to have security checks but the wider picture was about the "unfairness" of the taxpayer having to fork out to house "illegal migrants".
