Marcel Pagnol bought La Buzine in 1941, intending to turn it into Marseille's film capital and create a true "Hollywood Provençal." Built in 1867, the Château de la Buzine achieved world fame through "My Father's Glory" and "My Mother's Castle," Marcel Pagnol's two-volume memoirs and the 1990 film versions.
