The radio host accused the squad of “not having their eye on the ball” as she reacted to the penalty shootout defeat to Sweden.
Her comments drew criticism online, with many jumping to defend the USWNT.
"I stand with the US National Women's Soccer Team. For the record, they have gold stars while the men have zero," one person wrote on Twitter.
"And have participated in every World Cup - while only 6 other nations have done so."
