00:00 What is your mindset when you come into a site like this?
00:05 I think one is just a great opportunity to be here.
00:09 I think you just take advantage of every opportunity you're given.
00:13 Accelerating the learning process, the best way that I can.
00:18 Taking my own reps here.
00:20 When I get my reps, I just do whatever I can to make the most out of them.
00:23 It's helpful to get those opportunities, to take the chances,
00:27 to make the right plays and you want to show them what you can do.
00:31 I think it's all about a mindset.
00:33 It's just whatever the play is given.
00:36 Just being a little bit aggressive, depending on the calculated risk is there.
00:41 Maybe I get in trouble here and there.
00:43 It's just about making the most out of every play and putting in the right plays.
00:47 What is your adventure? Risk takers? Cornerbanks?
00:49 Do you like to make the most out of it?
00:51 I think it depends.
00:52 I've been a cornerback at my college career.
00:54 I think at times we weren't built like that, most official stuff.
00:59 But definitely like a choice of plays.
01:02 I don't know a quarterback who doesn't like that.
01:05 I think, again, it just comes down to appropriate risks and taking it when it's there.
01:12 What have you been able to learn from those mental reps that got you ready for--?
01:16 I think there's a lot.
01:18 I've been able to learn about, okay, why did Kenny "Adventure" Mason go there?
01:24 Okay, that makes sense.
01:25 I would have been wrong there.
01:26 I would have went there.
01:28 Being able to see it back there.
01:29 It's not the same being in the pocket, but you can see things better
01:33 and train those quick decisions instead of acting like you're quicker in your hand.
01:40 You can make decisions over a long period of time.
01:43 When you're back there, it's got to be very quick.
01:45 So that's what I try to stress when I'm back there is make quick decisions.
01:49 I think it's helped me a little bit when I've been able to get on the court.
01:52 A lot of this is about competition.
01:54 Of course, the guys here--I mean, Mason's been here six years or something like that.
01:58 I don't think anybody expects you to be even with him.
02:01 It feels like you're mostly competing with yourself.
02:03 How has that challenge been?
02:05 Yeah, I think you're always competing with yourself to get the best out of yourself every day.
02:10 That's the way I've looked at it is just do the best I can.
02:14 Make the most of every opportunity, and that's really all I can control.
02:18 Did they say if you're going to play?
02:20 I have no idea, so I can't really give you an answer on that.
02:23 Yesterday you looked like you were ready.
02:26 I appreciate that.
02:27 But don't you feel it?
02:29 Yeah, I mean, any time you get the ball in your hands, you have to be ready.
02:33 There's still a lot of things that I need to improve on,
02:35 and that's just all that I can focus on and control is just getting better every day.
02:41 But you still have a brooding memory about all the other guys playing.
02:43 Yeah, I think it's been great with the coaches.
02:46 They've done a great job.
02:47 I've learned from the quarterback room, honestly, and it's been awesome to have those guys.
02:52 A lot of experience with them.
