About the Ssangyong brand and the company: The "Ssangyong" brand has belonged to KGM Global since 2023. The German importer of the SsangYong Brand has been SsangYong Motors Deutschland GmbH since January 2011. The German headquarters is located in Köln. From here, around 180 SsangYong sales partners are looked after on the German market. SsangYong Motors Deutschland GmbH will operate under the name Astara Mobility as of 1 February 2023. The global mobility company has merged its local businesses, which are part of Astara Western Europe. Astara now distributes four brands: the Korean SUV specialist SsangYong, the Chinese commercial vehicle brand MAXUS, the Swiss mobility provider Microlino and the Japanese commercial vehicle brand Isuzu, which is also distributed through Astara Western Europe in the form of a new joint venture. The structure introduced at the beginning of the month will be implemented at the two locations in Köln and Flörsheim am Main.
