00:20 You know, when one of the greatest boxing legends

00:24 of all time in the history of the sport is supporting me,

00:29 you know, saying that I'm saving the sport,

00:31 like what else do I need?

00:33 What other support do you need other than that?

00:35 And so it means the world.

00:37 And Uncle Mike's an amazing person.

00:41 And in terms of Nate Diaz,

00:44 I think this is just a massive fight,

00:46 regardless of the promotion, just because of our two names

00:50 and how many fans we both have.

00:52 He beats to his own drum and he can do whatever he wants,

00:55 but I'm used to having to carry all of these promotions

00:59 because these fighters don't really know how to promote,

01:03 which is probably why I'm the only fighter,

01:06 active fighter with a promotional company

01:07 that's actually doing anything.

01:34 you know, since my peers in high school

01:37 first were ripping me down

01:40 and saying I would never accomplish anything,

01:42 making fun of me for making videos.

01:46 And you either have two options, you know,

01:50 let it fuel you or give up.

01:53 And I'm not gonna give up.

01:55 So that's not even an option.

01:57 So it actually just always has fueled me.

02:01 And, you know, rightfully so.

02:03 I don't mind the fact that people didn't understand

02:07 what it was that I was doing.

02:09 I'm used to being the odd one out.

02:10 I'm used to being not fitting in.

02:12 I'm used to being the unicorn in the room.

02:16 So I get when people don't see my vision

02:20 because most people don't have my vision.

02:22 And so I get that I'm an artist

02:24 and I'll paint that picture for everyone over time.

02:27 And with my mind and like what I'm capable of,

02:31 I'm going to accomplish everything that's in there.

02:34 And I see the painting before it's done,

02:37 but I have to show that to others.

02:39 And as I'm painting, they start to see it

02:43 and they respect it.

02:46 - So much of what we see in this movie

02:48 shows the genius of your promotion,

02:50 your promotional abilities.

02:52 How much of your life is constant promotion

02:55 and how much of it is really you?

02:58 - I am a marketer and promoter.

03:00 I guess like that's what's so innate about it.

03:04 That is my special gift and special ability

03:06 is like understanding audience,

03:09 understanding reach and understanding content

03:12 and how to give an audience a specific type of content

03:17 that they're going to like and enjoy and share.

03:22 - But Jake, how hard is it being the guy

03:24 who knows how to get under people's skin?

03:27 Like you have a innate ability to get under people's skin.

03:32 - Yeah, yeah.

03:34 I think that comes from like just being in high school

03:37 with my friends, like we would talk so much (beep)

03:41 to each other and would say the craziest things.

03:45 And like, that was just what we thought was fun and funny.

03:48 And sometimes things would get under your skin,

03:52 but I guess it's just like a part of who I am.

03:56 I don't know. I don't know.

03:59 I just like have fun doing it.

04:01 And to me, when other people like say crazy things to me,

04:06 I laugh at it.

04:08 Like I think it's hilarious when someone roasts me good

04:12 and it's just like fun for me.

04:14 I don't know, I don't really know what it is.
