Google Makes It Easier , to Delete Private Information From Search.
Last year, Google launched a tool to allow users to remove search results about themselves such as phone numbers, addresses and email accounts.
The "results about you" tool has since been updated to give users even more control, Engadget reports.
A dashboard will now alert people when their personal information shows up in Search.
Upon receiving an alert, you can ask that those results be removed from Search.
To access the tool, open the Google app, tap on your profile picture and click "results about you.".
You can also visit myactivity.google.com/results-about-you.
While the feature is currently only available in English in the United States, Google plans to roll it out in other areas and languages soon. .
Google is also making it easier for users to take down explicit photos of themselves, whether consensual or not.
Additionally, parental controls and SafeSearch are getting updates to make it easier for parents to protect their children on the internet.
