00:00 Here at the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland have lost 2-1 against Ipswich Town in their

00:06 first Championship game of the season. A frustrating evening for Tony Mowbray's side, who saw plenty

00:12 of the ball but didn't really create too many clear-cut chances. They fell a goal down on

00:18 the stroke of half-time when former striker Nathan Broadhead - it looked like a neat finish

00:22 actually at first - it looked like maybe he didn't know too much about it when there was

00:26 a shot from the edge of the box and then he turned it in, sending goalkeeper Anthony Patterson

00:30 the wrong way. But a real sucker punch for Sunderland, who as I said had seen a lot of

00:34 possession in that first half but struggled to really do much with it, didn't really test

00:38 the Ipswich goalkeeper too much in that first half. It was the same Sunderland team today

00:43 which started the friendly against Real Mallorca last weekend, which you could perceive to

00:48 be their strongest side at the minute. Hamer was up front with Joe Bellingham in the number

00:52 10 position. Bellingham looked bright at times, looked very lively, kind of pressing from

00:55 the front and had some good touches in around the final third but did miss a very good chance

01:00 when the score was 0-0, failed to hit the target and that proved to be a big moment

01:05 in the match. But when Sunderland had fallen behind to that Broadhead goal just before

01:08 half-time, they then went 2-0 down shortly after the restart when Ipswich striker George

01:13 Hurst made it 2. It was a good pass through from Broadhead to set up Hurst and he beat

01:18 Patterson with a good finish and then Sunderland were really up against it. They started slowly

01:23 in the second half, weren't as crisp with their passing as they were in the first half,

01:28 then went down to 10 men when Try Hulme received a second yellow card when he stopped an Ipswich

01:33 counter-attack and that could have put Sunderland on the back foot but actually sparked them

01:37 into gear a little bit. They got back in the game, Dan Neal managed to pull a goal back

01:41 with four minutes to go and then there was 13 minutes added time and Sunderland were

01:45 piling on the pressure late on even though they had that man disadvantaged and could

01:49 have easily nicked a point when Dan Neal had a volley which was tipped onto the post by

01:54 the Ipswich goalkeeper. 2-1, it stayed and a frustrating opening game of the season for
