00:00 Prince William and Kate Middleton's summer decision could see them return to Royal Residence
00:04 that some fans might not know about.
00:12 The Prince and Princess of Wales are predicted to head to Scotland at some point this summer
00:17 to join King Charles and Queen Camilla for a summer break.
00:27 It's possible that they could decide against actually staying at Balmoral Castle for a
00:31 very sensible reason.
00:40 This Royal News comes as we revealed how King Charles paved the way for Prince William as
00:44 he proved it's alright to change your mind.
00:54 King Charles and Queen Camilla have remained based at Clarence House since becoming King
00:58 and Queen consort, but that's far from the only Royal Residence they can spend time in.
01:10 The Royal Family are known for enjoying certain occasions at specific homes, from Christmas
01:15 at Sandringham House in Norfolk to Easter at Windsor Castle.
01:26 But when it comes to summer, there's one destination that was a favourite in the late Queen Elizabeth's
01:30 reign, Balmoral Castle.
01:39 She enjoyed an annual holiday there and invited her nearest and dearest to join her.
01:49 The Daily Mail has alleged that Burcal will be King Charles' main base, this summer, with
01:54 sources claiming he and the Queen could 'decamp' to Balmoral for official visits.
02:03 However, it's also been suggested that other Royals will be staying at Balmoral.
02:11 Two who might not, though, are Prince William and the Princess of Wales.
02:21 The couple are expected to travel north with their children to enjoy precious family time
02:26 with other Royals and private.
02:35 Though Prince William and Kate's summer decision over whether or not to stay at Balmoral could
02:39 mean they opt to return to a home that is incredibly private.
02:49 If they do go to Scotland and decide against staying at Balmoral, then the likely alternative
02:53 would be Prince William and Kate's own Scottish home.
03:03 As well as Emmerhouse in Norfolk and Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, the Prince and Princess
03:07 of Wales are understood to also have Tam Na Gar Cottage on the Balmoral estate.
03:18 According to Hello!, this cottage used to belong to the late Queen Mother and was reportedly
03:23 given to Prince William as a gift shortly before she passed away in 2002.
03:35 Few photographs exist of it and some fans might not have known it existed.
03:39 It's believed that the Prince and Princess of Wales have stayed at Tam Na Gar Cottage
03:43 a number of times over the years, and have supposedly also brought Prince George, Charlotte
03:48 and Louis to stay there before.
03:57 Given this is their own home it might make sense for Prince William and Kate's summer
04:00 decision to be that they will stay at Tam Na Gar rather than Balmoral when they're apparently
04:05 quite close and they can easily travel between the two.
04:15 Even if they don't stay at the main castle, though, it would still be lovely to see them
04:19 continue the family tradition of going to Scotland in the summer.
04:29 Scotland held a special place in Queen Elizabeth's heart and Princess Eugenie once explained
04:33 on the Our Queen at 90 documentary about how much being there meant to her grandmother,
04:38 Prince Philip and their family.
04:45 "Walks, picnics, dogs, a lot of dogs, there's always dogs, and people coming in and out
04:52 all the time.
05:00 It's a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there, where
05:04 you just have room to breathe and run," she declared
05:07 "It's a lovely place."
