Rail Town: Swindon, England

Swindon is a town in the county of Wiltshire, England. Its history can be traced back to the ancient times, but the most significant developments occurred during the Industrial Revolution. During the 19th and 20th centuries it was a major industrial centre, including the workshops of the Great Western Railway. In recent years a portion of the workshops was converted into STEAM: The museum of the GWR.
