00:22 He is injured, with a puncture wound

00:26 on his side. One of the nomads

00:30 got to him.

00:37 He would normally be running alongside the others,

00:42 full of energy. His mother, Kanya,

00:48 is aware something is wrong.

00:53 So too, his brother.

01:00 He only moves deeper into the bush.

01:07 The instinct of a wounded animal

01:13 to hide.

01:20 His brother turns to their mother

01:27 and invites her to play. But for the first time,

01:43 An hour later, the ill cub can no longer sit up.
