Swooping magpies are attacking early this year. One victim tells of his pain.

00:26 They don't seem to attack until a bit later.

00:32 It's frightening when you get hit.

00:41 It's a shock of getting hit initially.

00:44 If you know they're coming, it's all right,

00:46 but the problem is you never know they're coming.

00:48 They just sort of hit you.

00:49 Some of them hit once and that's it,

00:50 but others just keep coming and coming

00:52 and, you know, for hundreds of meters

00:54 and keep following you.

00:56 It's the adrenaline then once they hit you, for sure.
