There are fresh calls for a dramatic rethink of Australia’s struggling aged care system - with a push for more transparent and fairer funding to ensure the system is fit for the future. A group of 43 organisations representing consumers, providers, unions and experts, is urging minister Anika Wells to look at options including changes to super and a Medicare-style levy to fund the sector.
