Swifts' senior football coach, Brett Hargreaves, talks to John Hall about the the club's path into the 2023 Horsham and District Football Netball League finals fixture.

00:00 You came towards the busy end of the season, how's the team feeling?

00:03 Yeah, good. The team's in a good place.

00:06 Morale's been good, we've been training well, we've been playing well, so yeah,

00:09 happy with how we're trekking at the moment.

00:12 We've actually had a pretty healthy list all year, but we have actually had a few injuries at the minute,

00:16 but they're all on track to be right for the finals time.

00:20 We sort of saw ourselves as the final side and it was good to, I guess,

00:24 be the mathematically impossible to fall out now, so it takes the pressure off that way.

00:28 We can just concentrate on getting our game right.

00:31 I don't know if it's by great design, but we've got obviously Matt Healy up there as our linchpin,

00:40 but we're prepared to use other people, I guess, is the thing.

00:44 He's the target, he takes the best defender, of course, which obviously means

00:48 sometimes we want to kick away from them.

00:50 And then the likes of young Cam Wickham that have really come on in terms of learning how to crumb

00:54 and take their own marks, so that's helped with our spread.

00:58 We've rotated our own balls through the forward line too,

01:01 so they're always happy to snag a goal when they can.
