00:03 Today, the Department of Budget and Management will submit the 2024 National Budget to the Camera.

00:12 The Department of Budget and Management submitted the 2024 National Expenditure Program to the Camera today

00:23 which will be the basis of the National Fund for the next year.

00:29 DBM Secretary Amina Pangandaman and House Speaker Martin Romualdez will be the first to turn over the ceremony.

00:37 According to Malacanang, the 2024 NEP is worth more than P5.7 trillion,

00:43 which is 9.5% higher than the National Fund for this year

00:48 and equivalent to 21.7% of the gross domestic product of the country.

00:54 Under this, the government's target is to continue strengthening the purchasing power of Filipinos.

01:06 DBM is also hoping to hand out some of the important bills of the 2024 NEP to the Camera.

01:28 against smuggling of foreign currency or other monetary instruments in the country,

01:34 and House Bill No. 8392, which is in favor of the standardization of retirement benefits to officials in the judiciary.

01:47 In the hearing of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs along with the Committee on Health,

01:51 the legal discussion was discussed on the use of medical cannabis in the country.
