00:11 Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud observed that it was not the only instance of sexual

00:15 violence against women since ethnic violence erupted in the north-eastern state over two

00:19 months ago.

00:20 The women who were paraded naked and sexually assaulted in Manipur have approached the Supreme

00:25 Court with a fresh petition related to the viral video of their ordeal.

00:29 The survivors have filed a separate application in connection with the FIR related to the

00:33 May 4 sexual assault incident along with their plea for protection of their identity.

00:37 CJI said that the video is not the only incident of assault on women.

00:41 He said that an affidavit filed by the Home Secretary indicates multiple instances.
