There is an element of fear in the common people of Manipur. People in thousands have lost their houses in Manipur. They don’t know when they’ll return to their homes. Thousands of houses have been torched. A huge rift between the Kukis and the Meities have taken place. We don’t know how this rift will be bridged between both the communities. There are no firm steps from the government. The government have kept their eyes shut. If this attitude continues, the situation will slip out of our hands. It seems there are two countries, a Kuki land, a Meitie land.
