Water Bug Drinking The Insides Of Fish! Meet the Water Mantis!

A terrifying water insects haunts the shallows of rice fields in central Japan. This bug is specialised in hunting other water creatures. The so called water mantis or Ranatra linearis is a predator specialised on shallow pond like waters. It has highly developed senses and catches its prey within the blink of an eye. When its prey is in its fangs Ranatra will use a stinger protruding from its mouth to suck out their insides. Observing this creature while hunting is quite shocking but one can learn about nature.
