00:16 >> I can already see the wonderful things lie ahead.

00:20 >> It was important to me that Foundation be a show for a global audience, and

00:25 that the entirety of that global audience see themselves reflected.

00:29 >> It allows us to tell some stories that are not traditionally told on screen.

00:34 And these powerful characters are integral to the Foundation saga.

00:42 >> Season one, Gale is very young and learning.

00:45 Season two, she's a lot more in control.

00:47 [MUSIC]

00:48 >> There are things happening here that you don't understand, and

00:51 right now we just need to accept that.

00:52 >> I've found a lot more confidence this season.

00:56 I look at myself in those first episodes in season one, and

00:59 I look at some of the stuff I'm doing now, and

01:01 I can't quite believe that it's the same person, and it's me.

01:04 So it is so fun to watch myself grow as much as Gale.

01:08 >> My name is Salvar Hardin.

01:12 I'm your daughter, Salvar Hardin.

01:15 >> I definitely wanted her to be somebody that people looked up to.

01:18 It's nice to play somebody who's got a really wholesome heart and

01:22 real determination.

01:23 >> In season one, she's not very confident about the things that make her

01:27 different, but in season two, she's gone through a metamorphosis of

01:31 appreciating the differences and seeing strengths in them.

01:34 Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what's right.

01:37 >> Gale unexpectedly is reunited with this daughter that she didn't know she had,

01:43 and her daughter Salvar is biologically older than she is.

01:47 >> Finding out she has a daughter,

01:48 dealing with the fact that she hasn't raised her daughter.

01:51 There's so many factors that are affecting the way that she is trying to

01:56 interact with Salvar.

01:57 >> It's not the rosy reunion that one would expect.

01:59 They've got to earn that relationship.

02:02 >> I will always be here, as I always have been.

02:05 >> In season two, we start to explore Demerzel's relationship to Empire.

02:12 Is she a captive or a captor?

02:15 Is she actually pulling the strings of Empire?

02:17 >> We see Demerzel leading day where she wants to, and

02:21 we get to see a little glimpse of how much power she holds over him.

02:25 She dreams of freedom, and at the same time,

02:29 her programming prevents her from that dream coming true.

02:32 That conflict is haunting.

02:35 >> I'm left to wonder, if it weren't for this directive,

02:38 would my feelings be the same?

02:39 Would I feel anything?

02:40 >> There are a lot of new characters who are gonna change the course of the show.

02:46 >> Will you serve me?

02:48 I will serve Empire.

02:49 >> Queen Serath has been chosen by Day to be his bride.

02:54 >> She brings a lot of feminine power and

02:57 energy into what is a very male dominated space.

03:01 >> Day feels that he can steamroll her, but she turns out to be quite a deft

03:05 political operative who really gives him a run for his money.

03:08 >> It's just the classic case of never touch a book by its cover.

03:11 Just because a woman comes in wearing high heels and

03:14 a flirty dress doesn't mean she's not gonna ruin your life.

03:17 >> Did I speak first or were you?

03:19 >> Constance.

03:20 >> Brother Constance is a novice in the Church of the Galactic Spirit.

03:23 >> She bounces around the galaxy in the outer reach,

03:26 trying to evangelize the people to the way of the foundation.

03:29 She's got a real sense of who she is, and

03:32 I think people sort of mistake her as a young girl, and she's not at all.

03:36 She doesn't take any crap from anyone.

03:38 [MUSIC]

03:41 >> Tellem Bonne is an antagonist we created for the series.

03:45 >> She will do whatever it takes for eternal life.

03:49 You are singular, Gale Dornick.

03:51 She's never come across anybody as powerful as Gale, who can see the future.

03:56 >> She may be a villain, she may not be a villain.

03:59 >> Buckle up.

04:01 >> Season two is incredible.

04:03 It really feels that David and

04:05 the team have just thrown everything at this series.

04:08 >> Do it.

04:10 >> There's so many amazing people this season.

04:11 >> The casting and the storyline is perfect, and

04:13 I just can't wait to share it with everyone.

04:15 >> We will be ready.
