00:06 This is Shadow Gambit, The Cursed Crew, a stealth strategy game where you join the Red Mali,

00:12 a living ghost ship sailing the Caribbean during an alternate history of the Golden Age of Piracy.

00:24 which grants your crew supernatural powers to help execute the perfect mission.

01:21 Shadow Gambit is our latest, where you play the Cursed Pirate Crew of the Red Mali.

01:26 Using the ship's time manipulation powers and the unique magical skills of your crew,

01:31 you'll go on a heist across a variety of islands to find a mysterious treasure,

01:35 all while being hunted by the Inquisition of the Burning Maiden,

01:39 a devout army that despises cursed pirates like you and your crew.

01:43 We love the top-down tactical perspective, because it gives you all the information you need

01:50 to plan out your stealthy strategy.

01:52 This allows you to command multiple characters to work as a team,

01:56 for example splitting up one crew member to distract a guard several meters away,

02:00 while the other takes down their Inquisition friend.

02:03 The game is designed so you can know where every guard is looking,

02:08 when you're visible or hidden,

02:10 who will hear the noise made by your attacks, and more.

02:14 These tools are designed so when you get caught,

02:20 you know it's because of something you overlooked,

02:22 not because the game had you at an unfair advantage.

02:25 Just because you have access to all this information,

02:29 doesn't mean it's going to be a relaxing day at the beach.

02:32 You'll have to think hard about how to get past areas,

02:35 where there might be one or more enemies,

02:37 who will spot you right away if you try to take out one of their friends.

02:41 You're bound to slip up eventually.

02:45 That's why at any moment,

02:47 you can use the Red Marley's magical time manipulating powers

02:51 to reset time and retry an encounter.

02:54 We want you to feel like a mastermind

02:59 after experimenting and then executing a beautifully planned attack.

03:03 A key part of our game's design is your ship's magical ability

03:10 to completely stop time so you can think of your next move.

03:13 Whether you want to find a safe spot to hide,

03:16 or you just don't like thinking in real time

03:18 and would rather stop, plan, queue up a character's action and then execute it.

03:24 You are always the one in control.

03:28 To defy the Inquisition, you'll need to find the legendary Black Pearls,

03:35 whose soul energy can be used to unlock new crew members.

03:38 Their special magical abilities provide unique tactical options,

03:42 especially when you mix and match who you send on each mission.

03:45 In this trailer, we're showing three out of the eight members of your cursed pirate crew.

03:51 The first is Aethir, the ship's adventurous and lethal navigator.

03:56 Removing a magical sword from her own chest grants her the ability to dash across space-time

04:01 for kills which happen in the blink of an eye.

04:04 Mr. Mercury, the shipwright and caretaker of the Red Marley,

04:08 is the jokester and infiltrator of the crew.

04:11 He carries an anchor which allows him to open a portal to the Shadow Seas,

04:15 where he lies in wait before going in for a kill.

04:18 His abilities get him past enemy view cones and even through fortress walls.

04:26 Also, his fish companion, Sir Reginald, helps him distract guards.

04:31 Gaelle Le Brie is the master canonist.

04:36 She excels at positioning by using her canon to suck in and launch fellow crewmates to hard-to-reach places.

04:42 Or load Inquisition enemies into her magical canon and send them where they'll cause you less trouble.

04:49 The Red Marley's power to stop time makes it easy to control three characters at once.

04:57 For example, here we have three enemies, all within view of each other.

05:01 If we take any one of them out, the others will spot us immediately.

05:06 So I'm going to position our crew to take out one each.

05:10 We'll stop time, set a fear to kill this enemy,

05:14 Gaelle to knock out this guard,

05:17 and Mr. Mercury to emerge and take out the last one.

05:20 With our actions set, when I press Execute, all three actions will happen simultaneously.

05:26 A dazzling display!

05:28 This is an advanced technique which helps you take out large groups of enemies,

05:33 but it's perfectly valid to take out every guard one by one.

05:37 We made the game so you can play the way you want.

05:41 If you want to hide and observe, you can even speed up time,

05:44 so you don't have to wait long for a patrol to come back around.

05:47 In each island's mission, you have the freedom to decide where you want to enter and exit.

05:52 You can survey each point to find one to your liking before deploying.

05:59 Shadow Gambit isn't made to push you towards a solution which we designed.

06:03 We're giving you a variety of tools to find your own unique strategies

06:07 via the time manipulation power of the Red Marley and the magical skills of your Cursed Pirate crew.

06:17 On your quest to find a mysterious treasure of otherworldly power,
