The grand opposition alliance has set its plan of moving a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi govt, in motion. The Indian National Congress' Lok Sabha Deputy and North east leader Gaurav Gogoi has moved the no-confidence motion in the lower house of the parliament today. Apart from him, BRS MP Nama Nageswara Rao has also filed the No Confidence Motion against the Government. If adopted in the lower house, this would be a major political development as it would be the first time in last 20 years that a no-confidence motion would be taken up. The last time a no-confidence motion was initiated was in 2003 against the Atal Bihari Vajpayee govt. This strategy comes in response to the ongoing deadlock in the Parliament, with the first three days of the monsoon session being washed out due to the opposition lawmakers insisting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement regarding the ethnic violence in Manipur. In this video, we bring to you some historical facts about the No-Confidence motion besides explaining about the ruling regimes whose downfall was attributed to passage of a no-confidence motion.
