University of Mindanao-Institute of Popular Opinion director Dr. John Vianne Murcia announces the results of their June 2023 survey assessing public trust in the country's top officials in Davao.
The results show Senator Risa Hontiveros as the top gainer in terms of trust ratings among senators due to her watchdog role, which Dabawenyos see as necessary to provide “balance.”
It also indicated a drop in public confidence in President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, and identified which senators were the most and least trusted in Davao.
