00:16 To understand, we must go back to the launch of the Paris metro in 1900,

00:20 in the middle of the Universal Expo,

00:22 and the city of Paris is in charge of the emblematic architect of the Rougeau, Hector Guimard,

00:27 of designing the edicules, namely the metro entrances.

00:31 Guimard will flood the capital with two types of edicules,

00:34 type A with a square background, the most classic,

00:37 and type B with a rounded background and the roof inverted.

00:42 The edicule of our Porte Dauphine station is type B,

00:46 with its glass roof called the Marquise de Vey,

00:48 and it is now the only and last copy still in its original state and visible in Paris.

00:53 It is given the nickname of Libellule because of its insect shape.
