00:41 My feathered rejects.
00:43 Today I've got a tail waggingly good scoop for you.
00:46 Let's talk about our sponsor, Bird Dogs.
00:48 I'm wearing them comfortable pants right now.
00:50 But also they have their shorts
00:52 that'll have you looking fetching.
00:54 These shorts are no bird brainers, my friends.
00:56 Let me show you.
00:57 They're designed to fit slimmer through the thigh
00:58 and the leg, giving you a truly possum sculpted look.
01:03 They do everything Lululemon does,
01:04 but with an extra wag in their tail.
01:06 So say goodbye to those rough cotton shorts.
01:09 Bird Dogs fixed that mutter
01:11 by creating their cloud knit fabric.
01:13 I mean, come on, it looks as sharp as khaki,
01:15 but stretches like a dog chasing its tail.
01:18 You just get a waist slimmer fit
01:19 without being leash restricted.
01:21 Got these puns going, people.
01:23 And here's the cherry on top,
01:24 or should I say the bird on the wire.

02:08 (upbeat music)
02:12 - Super scrub, super scrub.
02:12 - It's to become super ourselves.
02:15 All of us.
02:16 - Extremists.
02:17 - That's extremists.
02:17 I don't know if any of the comments
02:19 pointed it out last episode.
02:20 - People commented?
02:22 - I thought it was just common knowledge among us all.
02:24 (laughing)
02:27 - No way.
02:29 She's gonna sit up right now.
02:30 - She already super?
02:35 - It's like there's no way that Kilian
02:36 has regenerative power.
02:38 - There it is.
02:41 - Extremists.
02:42 - That's extremists, people.
02:43 - Everybody knows.
02:44 - Oh my God, extremists.
02:45 - Iron Man 3, Aldrich Kilian.
02:47 - What's funny is I didn't put together his hand healing
02:51 and her just doing the same thing.
02:53 (laughing)
02:55 - Who would have thought that she's so alive?
03:01 - The thing that happened earlier in the episode
03:03 might also apply to her skills.
03:05 - I love when they just take that big piece of steaks
03:07 and just immediately solve it.
03:09 That's the opening button.
03:11 - There's a lot of filling in the gaps in this show.
03:18 - They do a good job jumping around the timeline,
03:20 but not timelines.
03:21 - As I was watching all the news coverage
03:24 of those guys, strangest thing,
03:26 someone I know had something to do
03:27 with getting them all together.
03:29 - And what if it was someone you know?
03:33 - Half of his face is de-aged.
03:35 (laughing)
03:38 - That looks so good.
03:39 - He understands that the weak are worth protecting.
03:42 - God damn right.
03:44 - Good book.
03:46 - Actually, it's a conversation between two people
03:50 that will very much reflect our own.
03:53 (laughing)
03:54 - And did you get what you wanted from this life?
03:59 Even so.
04:00 - I did.
04:01 - It's gonna be a heartbreaking finale, huh?
04:03 - Yeah.
04:04 - To call myself beloved.
04:06 To feel myself beloved on the earth.
04:11 - She really loves him.
04:12 - Oh.
04:15 (soft music)
04:17 - Talk about giving some romance.
04:19 - I'm gonna plow your ass.
04:25 (laughing)
04:28 - Show you the poetry of love making.
04:31 - That's where he learned Ezekiel 2414
04:36 or whatever from Paul Pishop.
04:38 - Said that book.
04:39 - Got another good book.
04:40 - I got a poem for you.
04:41 - I fired Fury, okay?
04:44 No, I'm sorry, correction.
04:45 I DDT'd that dude from the top rope.
04:47 Yeah, it was like Undertaker level.
04:49 - Sprayed him with pesticide?
04:51 - This girl's big wrestling fan.
04:52 - What Gravik needs, what Gravik doesn't need,
04:55 that's none of your concern.
04:57 I'm the one telling you to kill Fury.
04:59 - Oh, what?
05:01 - Damn it, Scrody.
05:02 - Look, I'll make it easy for you.
05:03 One of the two occupants of that lovely country manor
05:06 of yours is catching a bullet today.
05:08 - Jeez.
05:10 - Flip a coin for all I care.
05:11 (suspenseful music)
05:14 - Wow.
05:17 - He'll be dead from exhaustion and defeat soon enough.
05:20 We don't need to kill him.
05:22 - Man, this is sad.
05:24 - You keep telling me what you're not gonna do,
05:27 I'm gonna show you what I am going to do.
05:29 - Ew.
05:33 - Now you enjoy this concert.
05:35 - Have we considered it's just Rhodey?
05:40 (laughing)
05:41 - This is who he's been all this time.
05:43 - Real sumbitch.
05:44 - I don't need your sorrow or your pity
05:46 for anything I did of my own free will.
05:48 What is your plan for finding our people a home?
05:56 Because Gravik has already implemented his and it works.
05:59 - Got a napkin and a pen.
06:01 - We take down the insurgency, we go to the president
06:04 and we have a big bargaining chip.
06:07 Just saved your planet.
06:10 Now, give me a little something in return.
06:13 I can secure an amnesty for the one million of us to remain.
06:18 - Geez.
06:19 - I don't know.
06:20 - Don't you want to live in your own skin?
06:22 - That's very optimistic.
06:23 - We just keep contributing.
06:26 Show them our hearts, they will see us.
06:31 - Generational debate in the capsule.
06:33 - You're delusional and that is not who I have become.
06:39 - We're gonna go right back to Gravik.
06:41 - That was really short-lived.
06:42 - Didn't think you'd be home until later.
06:44 - Surprise.
06:46 Tea?
06:48 - Sure, I'll take a cup.
06:50 - Surprise, motherfucker.
06:51 (laughing)
06:53 - Of all the reckless things I've done in my life,
06:57 you are by far and away
07:00 greatest mistake.
07:04 - Ouch.
07:07 - Ignored every signal in my head, heart, and body
07:12 that screamed stop.
07:15 - Oh, damn.
07:17 - I don't know that if I had a chance to do it over again,
07:20 that I'd do anything different.
07:22 - Ooh.
07:28 - Like laying all the cards out on the table.
07:34 - Would you tell me the story?
07:36 - It's from the Tarantino movie.
07:37 - Chose her.
07:38 - Dr. Priscilla Davis had a congenital heart defect.
07:42 She was keeping it a secret.
07:44 Looking for someone who would slip your defenses.
07:48 - So you planned a long game on me, even then.
07:53 - Don't do that, Nick.
07:55 - She gets to call him Nick.
07:58 - I decided to just come out and ask.
08:01 I asked if she wanted to fall in love
08:05 and I told her about you.
08:08 - Interesting.
08:09 - Make her three promises, very heresy, which I did.
08:14 - Honorable.
08:15 - That I would continue to be a daughter to her parents.
08:17 - Which you've also done.
08:19 - Mm-hmm.
08:20 - Forced me to be their son-in-law.
08:22 - That I would never hurt you.
08:24 - Aw.
08:27 - And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?
08:31 - What's about to happen?
08:34 - I did.
08:36 - I think I'm gonna kill her and it's gonna be horrible.
08:38 - What did you want?
08:39 - To call myself beloved.
08:42 - Huh.
08:44 - Yep.
08:45 - To feel myself beloved.
08:49 - The earth.
08:53 - Whoa, goddamn.
08:58 Really did become a Tarantino movie.
09:02 Decoding the superhuman gene.
09:04 - It's her book.
09:05 - They both missed.
09:09 - I'm not sure if this means we should get divorced.
09:12 (laughing)
09:14 - Beautiful.
09:20 - That was really well done.
09:22 - Would you have loved me if I'd never changed?
09:25 If I'd been my true self?
09:28 - Ooh.
09:31 - Guess we'll never know.
09:33 - Damn.
09:34 - Secret wars.
09:36 (laughing)
09:37 - Wars of the heart.
09:38 - Aw, they're just like us.
09:43 - All my fetishes are coming true.
09:49 (laughing)
09:50 - On Disney Plus.
09:52 (laughing)
09:54 - Shake the water just wasn't enough.
09:58 - Oh my God, my fetishes are ruined.
09:59 - Oh.
10:01 - The color war machine.
10:02 (laughing)
10:04 Show you where it keeps the kernel.
10:06 - How long do you think a roadie has been a squirrel?
10:08 - Memory serves, I shit canned you
10:09 into oblivion a few days ago.
10:11 - I didn't like the way we left things between us.
10:16 I wanted to share my favorite liquid lunch with you.
10:20 Pappy Van Winkle.
10:23 23 years of distilled perfection.
10:26 Figured we could settle our beef like,
10:28 you know, proper gentlemen.
10:30 - I like how he has like a really sincere conversation
10:32 with his wife and then you see the persona.
10:35 - Yeah, big, yeah, presentational.
10:37 - The interrogation tactic.
10:38 - If you waste one drop of this family reserve,
10:42 your ancestors will reach out from the beyond
10:45 and strangle your black ass.
10:47 - Just drink his for him.
10:49 - But he's not really a black ass.
10:52 He's a green ass.
10:54 - Broke in to tell you there are scrolls
10:59 inside the US government.
11:01 (laughing)
11:04 - Scrolls in my security details,
11:05 scrolls in the US government, they're just scrolls.
11:07 - I have it on excellent authority
11:09 that there is a scroll mole very close to the president.
11:15 - Wow.
11:17 - Very close.
11:19 - As close as you and I are right now.
11:21 All you got to do, keep my mouth shut about all this,
11:25 give me my job back.
11:26 - You mind if I make a counter?
11:28 (laughing)
11:30 - Should've had that drink, man.
11:34 - You see this all right?
11:36 - Whoa, that's graphic.
11:39 - That's not me, that's a six foot tall,
11:42 bald, black, one-eyed extraterrestrial.
11:45 - Six foot tall, one-eyed, black, extraterrestrial.
11:49 - My power to protect you, to keep this video
11:51 and all the copies that I made under wraps.
11:54 (laughing)
11:56 - Is that audio waving?
12:00 - Yeah, I was curious, it's moving still.
12:01 - Liquid location tracker.
12:05 It's not a bad idea.
12:06 - Hey, clever.
12:08 - Assuming the president bites it soon
12:15 so Harrison Ford takes over.
12:16 - Oh, hey.
12:17 - Spoilers.
12:18 (laughing)
12:19 - You have to project strength.
12:20 There's an old Lenin quote, Vladimir, not John.
12:24 - When you find flesh, you push.
12:26 When you find steel, you stop.
12:29 - Colonel, can I ask you something?
12:30 - Absolutely anything, sir.
12:32 - Pre-game for our bilateral with the Russians
12:34 with a half a bottle of bourbon?
12:36 - I'm not sure I understand the question, sir.
12:40 - Interesting.
12:43 - President's gotta be a drunk to pick up on that.
12:45 (laughing)
12:46 - Even to the type.
12:47 - Oh my God.
12:52 - Ooh.
12:53 - Damn.
12:56 - No.
13:02 - Oh shit, Harrison Ford's gonna come running
13:07 into frame in a second.
13:08 - Any moment now.
13:09 - He's gonna flip the car back over.
13:12 - Be graphic to death with Ritson's body.
13:14 - That was a cool shot.
13:18 - Great shot, yeah.
13:20 (dramatic music)
13:23 - Prepare, send it down the line.
13:27 - Notice, Rhodey's not going there.
13:28 - Uh-huh.
13:29 - Good shots, good shots.
13:39 - Jeez.
13:42 - The Russians, it's the Russians.
13:45 (laughing)
13:46 - It's the Russians.
13:47 - Look at them, they're clearly Russian.
13:49 (laughing)
13:52 - Damn.
13:53 - Woof.
13:53 - Whoa.
13:57 - Nice.
13:58 - This looks great.
13:59 - Yeah, now it's great.
14:00 - Sexual directed action.
14:02 - Do a barrel roll.
14:07 - Ooh.
14:08 - Whole planet would be a kill zone
14:10 if we don't save Ritson.
14:11 - Nice.
14:17 - You got your pistol?
14:18 (laughing)
14:20 - That'll take him out.
14:21 - Ooh.
14:23 - Oh, there we go, there we go.
14:24 - Nicely done.
14:27 - Yeah.
14:34 - Whoa, jeez.
14:36 - Whoa, lots of helicopter, that was sick.
14:39 - Whoa.
14:42 - Really playing hot potato with the president.
14:47 (gunshots)
14:49 - Awesome.
14:51 - Cool.
14:52 - Whoa.
14:56 - Oh, damn.
14:57 - I am graphic.
15:00 (laughing)
15:02 - How many powers does he have?
15:11 - Two.
15:12 - I wish they would all prioritize Arresting Fury.
15:19 (laughing)
15:20 - Stop, get this man.
15:21 - I've got this, stand back, man.
15:22 - Yeah, let him be the one to save the president.
15:26 - Is everyone watching him a stroll?
15:29 (laughing)
15:30 - I'm punching this bulletproof glass.
15:32 - Gonna transform right as I pull him out.
15:35 - We are your friends.
15:38 - No.
15:38 - Oh, no, no, no.
15:40 - Not, not my Talos.
15:44 - Oh, shit.
15:48 - Damn.
15:50 - They're about to find out his girls are.
15:52 - Come on, man.
15:54 - Let's go.
15:56 - Oh, he's like sacrificing himself on the way out.
15:59 - No.
16:01 - Oh, no.
16:03 - He's actually gonna.
16:06 - He's a bloody alien, he's trying to get to Richard.
16:08 - No, no, no, hold your fire.
16:10 - He's with me, he's with us.
16:12 - Hey, damn guy.
16:16 - Okay.
16:17 - Where's Gaia so she can see this?
16:24 Damn, that's some good makeup.
16:26 - Yeah.
16:27 - CGI combination.
16:29 - Talos, hang in there, I'll be back for you.
16:32 - Oh, don't just leave him.
16:34 - Have someone else take the president.
16:35 - Put him in my car, I got my own ride.
16:39 (laughing)
16:40 - The Fury mobile.
16:41 - Is this guy sympathetic for reals?
16:46 - I don't trust this.
16:53 - I don't like it.
16:54 - Oh, shit.
16:59 - I said put him down now.
17:04 - No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
17:09 - Whoa, damn it.
17:11 - No.
17:12 - No.
17:13 (groaning)
17:18 - You gotta be shitting me.
17:21 - Damn.
17:21 - Damn.
17:24 - Oh, you gotta be kidding me.
17:38 - Come on, we can save him.
17:39 - Save him, come on.
17:45 - Grab him.
17:46 Drive over there.
17:53 (dramatic music)
17:55 - Why, what do you mean?
18:09 - She was in that, she's in the computer screen.
18:13 (laughing)
18:15 - Oh, golly.
18:16 - Don't worry guys, next episode,
18:18 it's gonna be nighttime and Talos is just gonna wake up.
18:20 - What happened?
18:21 (laughing)
18:23 - I'm the only body on this freeway.
18:25 (laughing)
18:26 - There's less than him.
18:28 - All right, let's talk about, holy shit, damn.
18:30 - Yeah, that was a lot.
18:31 - I was hoping in the trailer
18:32 when they showed his face all messed up
18:33 that that was just gonna be a fake out,
18:35 but damn, looks like they really got it there.
18:38 All right, well, let's place some bets now.
18:42 Let's place some bets.
18:44 I think Talos will not be back for five,
18:49 but I think somehow through the power
18:53 of super scrolling shenanigans,
18:55 they might be able to bring him back for episode,
18:59 I think in the final episode he'll come back.
19:01 I feel like they're gonna make us think he's dead for--
19:04 - A whole one.
19:04 - A whole, yeah, yeah, yeah, let's adjust it.
19:06 Jesus, Coy, how long, how many times are you coming?
19:08 - You know what? - Just a minute.
19:09 - There it is.
19:10 - Do you think he's dead, dead?
19:12 - I'm gonna double down like I did with Emilia Clarke.
19:15 I love you, Ben Mendelsohn, but you're dead.
19:18 I feel like he's going, or he's actually going,
19:23 they will bring him back,
19:24 but he's gonna let everyone think he's still dead.
19:26 That way his death warrants some merit towards--
19:29 - He's like a martyr.
19:30 - Yeah, exactly, to the whole thing he was telling Gaia.
19:33 Yeah, yeah, he's gross, yeah.
19:35 That's where I'm going.
19:37 That's where I'm going with my theory on that.
19:40 But if he actually is dead,
19:42 that's a really solid sacrifice,
19:44 and it went down that whole path.
19:45 - Saving the president in public,
19:47 giving up your identity, doing it,
19:49 like the very thing you said to your daughter you'd do,
19:50 being a man of your word.
19:52 - Now, we know, though, that Harrison Ford is going to be,
19:57 they've already confirmed it,
19:59 that he will be president in Captain America,
20:02 New World Order.
20:03 Do you think he might undo whatever happens here
20:06 for the Skrulls that maybe Dermot Mulroney is able to do?
20:11 - Oh, who knows?
20:12 - If Dermot even makes it,
20:13 what if his sacrifice was in vain?
20:14 - I don't even care about what happened in this episode now.
20:17 I'm only thinking about seven movies down the road.
20:19 - Spoken like a true Marvel internet fan.
20:22 - Yeah, either President Ritson is gonna try
20:25 and do some Skrull-based policy pumping, or--
20:28 - Is there an ending you can explain,
20:30 or Easter eggs you can point out?
20:31 - Or maybe-- - Did he know?
20:32 - Maybe he'll just get his term and we'll just end.
20:35 - Yeah. (everyone laughs)
20:38 - The new president, by way of election.
20:39 - Was elected, let him run.
20:42 He didn't run again, it was at the end of his time.
20:43 - There's no "this happens every four years."
20:45 - That's just kind of how it goes.
20:47 - Yeah, oh man.
20:48 - That was a heavy episode, man, I'm like wiped.
20:51 - Yeah, that was really emotional.
20:53 - I was very invested in the emotionality of the first half,
20:55 and then the action of the second half,
20:56 and then all of a sudden there was an emotional action.
20:59 - There was, there was.
21:00 I thought the action was well done.
21:02 - Beautifully shot.
21:03 - There's not a lot of action in this show,
21:04 and so when it was happening, I was like,
21:06 all right, this is good, this is like actually,
21:08 Ali Salaam got to showcase some of his action prowess,
21:12 and I love a good, I feel like that's the new thing now,
21:15 is a lot of good mounted, locked off shots.
21:18 - Nice mounted POV angle of something happening.
21:21 - Other items in motion.
21:24 - Worked for me, I was in.
21:26 - Yeah, I really like the way it looked, though.
21:28 - I also really liked that they set up to have it
21:31 off to the side so they could really get good coverage
21:32 of the fight, like they had the presidential cavalcade
21:35 go over here, and then you could really shoot the fight
21:38 and do real practical explosions,
21:39 like some of that was CGI,
21:40 but they actually blew some stuff up.
21:41 - They did, oh, Easter egg, Easter egg keyword,
21:44 thank God, we're getting this out of the way.
21:46 Groot hand.
21:47 - Groot hand.
21:48 - Yep, yep.
21:49 - He's got Groot abilities, did he just selfishly
21:51 take them all on, or did he evenly distribute this
21:54 amongst all the other in-record squirrels?
21:57 - He's a bad guy.
21:58 - He's just back in there shooting out
21:59 so much Super Squirrel.
22:00 - He was like, I am Gravik, I am just.
22:03 - Part of me does wonder, here's my theory,
22:06 to get that click word, I think that he will have taken
22:10 so many treatments of the Super Squirrel juice,
22:14 whatever it is, that he will gain all these powers,
22:16 but they will be too much for his body to handle,
22:19 and by the end he will like,
22:20 - Like Steve Dorf and Blade.
22:21 - That he's gonna go, I am the Mandarin.
22:22 - Yes, exactly, that he's gonna explode.
22:25 - I think he explodes at the end of Blade,
22:26 where he just pumps all that blood milk,
22:28 he finally saw Blade.
22:29 - Finally saw Blade.
22:30 - Great movie, great, helped Marvel get started.
22:33 - Oh man.
22:34 - I really was impressed with everyone's acting in this,
22:36 considering they had to do a lot in 30 some minutes
22:39 in this episode, and that means every scene
22:41 had to be like, boom.
22:42 - That was a really good fake out
22:44 with the whole thing with the wife.
22:45 - Oh man, the cutaway and then they showed the house?
22:47 - Yeah, because it seemed like they were,
22:50 I was thinking, okay, it's gonna be heartbreaking
22:52 by the end of the series.
22:54 - Right.
22:55 - And then if they killed her off,
22:57 if it killed off, part of me was gonna be like,
22:58 man, this is really sad, the other part of me was,
23:01 I wish we got to spend a little bit more time
23:04 getting invested in their actual relationship.
23:07 - And then they did both this episode.
23:08 - 'Cause they were kind of blue-Valentining it,
23:10 you know, where they would cut to like,
23:12 they're in love in the flashback.
23:14 - It's gone horribly.
23:15 - It is horrible in the present.
23:17 - Yes.
23:17 - And they were--
23:18 - He's singing with a banjo, let it ride, ghostly rest.
23:21 - Yeah, yeah, but, oh, someone pointed,
23:24 I think on one of our live streams,
23:25 they pointed out that the person who plays his wife
23:28 is actually the one who plays his--
23:28 - Which is Maul?
23:29 - Plays his, is Samuel Jackson's mom.
23:31 - From Unbreakable.
23:32 - No, no, no, from The Glass and stuff.
23:34 (laughing)
23:36 - Definitely expand upon that sentence, his mom.
23:39 - Your eyes, I was like, it's his mom?
23:42 - What is happening on this Disney+ show?
23:44 - It's acting, John, it's not weird.
23:46 - It's all about becoming a character.
23:49 - I'm just like, she looks amazing,
23:51 but also, like, she only looks like 99 minimum, man.
23:56 - I mean, I don't know if I'm allowed to say this,
23:58 but they say black don't crack, and I believe them.
24:00 - Yeah, 99-year-old woman playing his mother.
24:03 But yeah, I love that.
24:04 - So she played his mom in Glass.
24:05 (laughing)
24:06 - Yeah, played his mom in Glass.
24:07 But the emotion that she brings,
24:10 because you could feel that conflict
24:12 that she's having the whole time,
24:13 because I wasn't exactly 100% on board.
24:16 'Cause they didn't confirm what her plan was
24:19 in the last episode, or what she was being instructed to do
24:22 by Rhodey to kill Nick.
24:24 I was like, wow, that's a reveal that you're just dropping
24:26 on me at the beginning of this episode.
24:28 And then when she's having that confrontation at the table,
24:32 that had so much sorrow.
24:34 And I loved the way how Samuel Jackson
24:38 played that whole moment too,
24:39 because like we pointed out, he was so dejected.
24:44 And it was another one of those speeches of like,
24:47 yeah, this was a big mistake,
24:49 but I also don't regret any of it.
24:51 So the way they did lead up to them ultimately
24:53 pulling the trigger on each other,
24:55 and the way they reacted to after the triggers were pulled,
24:59 I'm like, that's the relationship.
25:01 - Yeah, that's the good Blue Valentine.
25:04 Like they're back in the happy for this moment.
25:05 - And it's because they can laugh about that
25:08 and accept these kind of weird idiosyncrasies
25:12 about each other and the strange perspectives about life.
25:15 Like this is just the weird lifestyle we live.
25:18 What'd you think about her backstory, John?
25:20 What'd you think about Priscilla's backstory?
25:22 - I thought that was very interesting and touching.
25:25 - There's good abductions out there.
25:27 - Yeah, no, it seemed like a really beautiful,
25:29 and I loved when you get a story told in monologue
25:34 that never breaks from just the actor
25:37 delivering the monologue and you can see it in your head.
25:40 And I thought that was an example.
25:43 This was, I thought, an overall really strong episode,
25:46 and especially for things like that.
25:48 And I thought that, yeah, what her story was,
25:51 'cause you sit here and wonder,
25:52 you're like, yeah, they have to take on people's persona.
25:54 - And these are good scrolls, how do they do that?
25:56 I really liked the idea of like, please live my life.
25:58 Like I love the idea of her saying,
26:00 do you wanna fall in love?
26:01 Like that's so painful.
26:02 Do you want this visage to know love
26:06 because you're dying, I'mma be you.
26:08 Like that's just so heavy.
26:09 - Yeah, absolutely. - It's a beautiful monologue.
26:11 - And it's like, yeah, it is a little odd and twisted,
26:14 but in a way that ultimately turns out quite beautiful.
26:17 And I think that that's showing her true compassion,
26:21 giving a kind of nice window into who she actually is.
26:24 'Cause between her and Nick,
26:25 there's a lot of these espionage games and stuff.
26:28 But yeah, I thought that was wonderfully humanizing
26:30 and that combined with how that scene ultimately played out.
26:34 Yeah, made that a perfect moment.
26:36 Whereas again, if she was about to die,
26:38 I feel like I would have kind of felt undercut.
26:42 - Yeah, yeah, exactly.
26:43 And now to a no smooth transition here, but with Rhodey.
26:47 - Yes.
26:48 - Don Cheadle really gets to showcase his acting caliber.
26:51 Because you have the one scene with him in episode two
26:57 where he fires Nick, right?
26:58 And now that it's revealed that he was a stroller.
27:01 By the way, he makes a hot ass stroll.
27:03 - I mean, you were getting set in the shower scene.
27:05 You were like, "Damn!"
27:07 Instead of like, "Rhodey!"
27:08 - Oh, no, no, no, man.
27:10 - What is it good for?
27:13 Absolutely machining.
27:14 (laughing)
27:17 - It's been a long, we've been at it since like,
27:18 really early in the morning.
27:19 - We started filming like literally 16 hours ago.
27:23 The day was Wonka, Greg.
27:27 So, but the, oh crap, what were we talking about?
27:31 - We were talking about Rhodey.
27:32 - But with Rhodey, Rhodey, Rhodey.
27:37 - His duplicitousness.
27:38 - Sorry, let me get there.
27:41 Let me find my words.
27:42 Oh yes, normally when they do like,
27:47 "Oh, we have villain, reveal!"
27:48 And then the actor shows up, he's like,
27:50 "Hang on, now I'm playing into the fact
27:53 "that I'm really a stroller."
27:55 It didn't do that.
27:57 With the duplicitousness.
27:58 (laughing)
28:00 - It was there.
28:01 - It was.
28:02 It still felt like the same performance
28:04 carrying over from episode two.
28:06 And in episode two, it was only supposed to
28:08 semi-make you question, episode two wasn't enough
28:11 to make me go, "He's definitely a stroller."
28:14 You know, it was enough to still make me go,
28:15 that could still just be Rhodey's principles speaking here.
28:19 And Rhodey's mentality and perspective
28:20 on the whole situation speaking on this matter.
28:23 - This is great writing.
28:24 - For his neck, right?
28:24 - No, it makes really solid writing.
28:26 And I like how this still feels like
28:27 the same performance there,
28:28 even though now they've let the audience know
28:30 that he is a scroll.
28:32 And he only, like, I love the cat and mouse game
28:35 of that conversation because, you know,
28:37 Nick's obviously taunting him so much.
28:40 And you could tell in Don Cheadle's performance,
28:43 the way he's reacting to him,
28:45 that, "Does Nick know I'm actually a scroll?"
28:47 - Yeah.
28:48 - You know?
28:49 - "How much is he baiting me,
28:50 "or is this just him being him?"
28:51 I really enjoy that we don't know,
28:53 you asked in the episode, like, when he took over.
28:55 I really love that, like, we don't know yet.
28:57 Like, I love that there's a mystery,
28:59 but there's still more mystery.
29:00 Like, we've solved some of it,
29:01 and we don't know, and I'm really curious
29:04 that they picked someone that has been recast.
29:06 You know, it's interesting that Terrence Howard's
29:08 one of the only Marvel characters
29:09 that's like a new face, and he's a scroll.
29:11 And he's got a movie coming out, so there's a lot.
29:14 - Might've been Avengers Endgame, that's my prediction.
29:16 He wanted to kill Hitler.
29:17 - And he went back.
29:18 - Hitler was a scroll.
29:19 - That would explain a lot.
29:20 - Yeah, Baby Thanos, that's what it was.
29:22 - Scribbler.
29:23 - I mean, Deadpool went back to go kill little Baby Hitler,
29:26 and then he's got a movie coming out,
29:27 so maybe they'll put it together.
29:28 - Baby Hitler is a movie coming out?
29:30 - Yeah, coming soon.
29:31 Taika Waititi's gonna play Baby Hitler, too.
29:33 - Taika Waititi's gonna play Baby Hitler.
29:35 (laughing)
29:37 Taika Waititi's Goo Goo Hitler.
29:40 - This is called Joe Rabbit, it's a prequel.
29:41 - Oh, God.
29:43 - It's late.
29:45 - So, Talos is dead.
29:46 - Talos, man.
29:47 - Extremis crew powers.
29:48 Oh, Guy is back, yay.
29:50 - All right, Pete Talos. - Congratulations.
29:51 - Yay!
29:51 - I think you're gonna get some true meat
29:53 to that performance.
29:54 - But then they killed her dad.
29:55 - You get like five seconds on the bench with her,
29:57 and you're like, man.
29:58 It's like, they cast Amelia Clark,
30:00 and whenever I feel like we're finally about to get
30:03 some real Amelia Clark scenes.
30:05 - Come on.
30:06 - We don't.
30:07 - Come on.
30:08 - We just don't get it.
30:09 - Her eyes are so big and full of depth,
30:10 let us do something.
30:11 Or I wanna live with her for a bit.
30:13 - Well, that's what I think, you know,
30:16 that's why Talos being fridged.
30:21 - Am I using, I'm using the term properly, right?
30:22 - Only a woman can be fridged, Greg.
30:24 - No, no, Talos, yeah, yeah, Talos is fridged.
30:26 - Yeah, it serves the purpose of the man.
30:28 - It's to serve God, to serve God.
30:30 - Yeah, Nick Fury.
30:31 - Yeah, man.
30:32 - He needs an extra fridge.
30:33 - Nope, got fridged.
30:34 - And then now we'll get some time with Gaia as she's,
30:37 you know, that graphic guy is such an asshole.
30:39 - Such a dick.
30:40 - Such a dick.
30:41 - And now he's got powers, we've seen him.
30:42 - So, a lot of this, at the beginning of this episode,
30:46 you know, did speak towards Nick Fury's righteousness side,
30:49 but also, you know, part of his stubborn qualities.
30:53 Do you think he made the right decision
30:54 in just leaving Talos at the end?
30:57 John, you go first, you take the decision.
30:59 - I think he may have.
31:00 - And be careful, you're white,
31:01 it can come across racist.
31:02 - He should have absolutely just run directly to Talos' side
31:05 and fireman lifted him and then pulled the car
31:08 by hand off the freeway.
31:10 - Correct answer.
31:11 - I think he made the decision for the optics,
31:16 as you would say, of the situation.
31:18 He made the decision that he had to make.
31:20 If it was me, I'd be trying to go back for Talos,
31:24 but he's gotta just friggin' save the president.
31:26 Like, I don't know, too many things could go wrong,
31:28 so I get why it happened, personally.
31:30 - I feel like he is, you know,
31:33 in and out of government favor,
31:34 and also been on the run and kind of a fugitive,
31:36 and half the government might be his girls,
31:38 because Rhodey is saving the president's a good step
31:41 in the chess game, but their friendship was so strong
31:44 and they'd known each other so many years,
31:46 I wish he could've tried.
31:47 I would've tried.
31:48 - Well, that's where the nits of my pick come in, because--
31:51 - Nit fury.
31:53 - Nit fury.
31:53 (laughing)
31:55 - My friends don't call me Nick, they call me Nit.
31:57 - They call me Nit.
31:57 - Don't worry about it.
31:58 - I got a thousand little details I'm about to hone in on.
32:02 (laughing)
32:03 - Stop over-analyzing.
32:04 - Never get anything done.
32:06 - He is so OCD.
32:07 - Pedantic fury.
32:09 - All the details are pedantic.
32:10 - Pedantic fury.
32:11 - Pedantic fury.
32:12 - Half of these proposition files are just minutia, man.
32:16 - Come up with a plan.
32:18 No, this was an episode that, for all of its--
32:21 - We have struck the right tone for this episode.
32:23 - We are slap happy.
32:25 - We've totally struck the right tone.
32:27 - This is the free jazz portion of the review.
32:29 - We should watch The Thing next.
32:30 (laughing)
32:33 - The nits of my picks for this episode,
32:37 this was one of those ones where all the great things
32:39 about it kind of brought into relief what I'm worried about,
32:43 which is, during this one I was like,
32:46 man, if this was like an and or 12 episodes or something,
32:49 like we could really cook some of this stuff.
32:51 And I feel like, especially with some aspects
32:54 of the emotional, because we only really have big visual
32:58 on the Skrull conflict and Captain Marvel,
33:01 so this, even though it's all running alongside the universe
33:04 and the MCU and they're hopping around in different movies,
33:07 you know, timelines and whatnot,
33:08 it still feels like this story has really kind of
33:10 only been happening through Captain Marvel to this.
33:13 So it feels still kind of contained to me.
33:16 And you know, it's supposed to be like, damn,
33:18 this big stage is affecting like everything we know
33:21 about how the world works right now.
33:23 - I agree, because I think that a lot of the scenes,
33:26 when it's just like scene work,
33:28 the best thing the show has gone for it is like,
33:30 when they just have like two actors talking to each other,
33:33 they are just great scenes.
33:36 And then you kind of feel like,
33:38 but the overall story would just feel
33:41 that much more exponential if they had more of a runtime
33:46 with these last couple episodes too,
33:50 to put a little bit more juice in there so that way.
33:53 - More to left.
33:54 - And spend time with the characters.
33:55 - It's starting to feel like,
33:56 - Oh, it's ending.
33:57 - It's not exactly rushed, but a little too short.
34:01 - Yeah.
34:02 - Like somewhere there.
34:03 - Well, I'm a little worried about how it wraps up.
34:05 - First two episodes were so long.
34:07 And then the last one was like,
34:08 it was a little shorter than the last.
34:09 And I was like, this is really short.
34:10 - 30 minutes.
34:11 - And this did a kind of two sides of the coin for me.
34:14 'Cause during the scene with Priscilla,
34:15 I was like, okay, they might lose me.
34:17 Oh no, wait, this is the perfect choice
34:19 for what we've gotten to experience for this show.
34:22 And then with Talos, whatever,
34:25 I was sitting there going,
34:26 man, I would feel this a lot harder if we had really,
34:29 like I love Ben Mendelsohn, I love their relationship.
34:32 I love a lot of that stuff,
34:33 but there's not quite enough in that foundation
34:36 to make me like choke up or something like that
34:39 when they threaten us with this.
34:40 'Cause they also had him in a lot of other episodes
34:42 get his like, oh, awesome moment.
34:43 And this episode he sat in the bench with his daughter.
34:46 And like, I was honestly, the way he saved was great.
34:49 But like, he had that underwhelming big plan
34:51 and I was like, okay, now he's dead.
34:52 - That's your big plan?
34:54 - So I would have loved one more scene.
34:55 - Could have had a better buildup to that moment.
34:58 - Yeah.
34:59 - Like overall through it.
34:59 It's still like, again, it's like isolated scenes,
35:01 but if there was like other scenes in between
35:04 to just add onto it,
35:05 then it's called fleshing it out, right?
35:09 But yeah, overall still, I still love the show.
35:12 I still think there's some of the best scene work
35:13 in all of the MCU is like right here.
35:16 So yeah. - Some nice surprises.
35:18 - Yeah, man, I still really liked the episode.
35:20 Let's see if Disney+ can stick the landing
35:22 and I can't wait to see all the actors promote this
35:25 come to the finale.
35:26 (laughing)
35:27 - Yeah, buddy.
35:28 - You know when tomorrow goes well
35:29 and everything goes back to normal,
35:31 it's coming tomorrow.
35:32 - That's what's happening.
35:33 All right, guys, well, leave your nitpicks down below.
35:36 - Nitfury.
35:37 - Yeah, nitfury.
35:39 (laughing)
35:39 - Pedentnik Fury.
35:41 - Yeah.
35:42 - Leave it down below.
35:43 Subscribe.
35:44 Thank you to Bird Dogs for, you know,
35:47 not dogging on my legs.
35:49 - Is that your Nathan Fillion's playing Guy Gardner?
35:53 - Cool.
35:53 (laughing)
35:54 And let's--
35:55 - It's green, it's the green landing.
35:57 - Eddie Gathage's Mr. Tripper.
35:57 - Patron of the day, shout out.
35:59 (screaming)
36:02 Michael B., Omni Media.
36:04 No, it's just Michael B.
36:06 I don't actually know his last name.
36:07 I should by this point.
36:08 - I know it.
36:09 - Oh, it's right there.
36:10 No, it's not.
36:11 Is it B Burnett?
36:12 - Is that his last name?
36:13 (laughing)
36:13 - I think he's trying to keep it secret.
36:15 (laughing)
36:16 - It doesn't matter.
36:17 - It doesn't matter now.
36:18 - Michael B. Movie.
36:20 - Omni Media is his YouTube channel.
36:22 - I like this guy.
36:23 - Here's the thing is we're shooting this midnight
36:25 and shooting and editing, you know,
36:27 we're doing our thing.
36:28 He is three hours ahead
36:30 and he is doing the exact same thing.
36:32 So he's starting us at 3 a.m.
36:33 So loser!
36:34 - Suffer!
36:35 - Sucker!
36:36 You're getting even less sleep.
36:37 - Suffer your sleepless nights.
36:38 - Sunrise is coming soon.
36:39 - But insomnia is your fate.
36:42 - That shows his hard work and dedication.
36:45 So if you haven't checked out his YouTube channel,
36:48 please go ahead and do that.
