Dramatic bodycam footage shows how firefighters tackled a large blaze in Alabama.The Citronelle Fire and Rescue Department responded to the inferno that broke out at the Shadow Ridge Apartments in Citronelle City before midnight on July 11.Officers began dousing the flames seen eating at the roof of the fourplex, with one of them entering the building to extinguish the flame from the inside.The responder was heard breathing heavily as he walked into the apartment, where flames had ripped through the roof. Sparks cascaded down the walls as more firefighters made their way inside to hose down the orange and blue flames.In a statement, Citronell Fire and Rescue said: 'Georgetown-Fellowship V.F.D., Oak Grove Volunteer Fire-Rescue, and Turnerville Fire Department were requested as mutual aid due to the size of the incident. Firefighters remained on scene well into the morning ensuring full extinguishment of the fire.'Mobile County EMS transported one patient to a local hospital with complaints of difficulty breathing who is expected to make a full recovery.'We would like to thank everyone on scene for their assistance, which includes Mobile County EMS, Mobile County Fire & EMS dispatch, Citronelle Police Department, and Citronelle Police Dispatch.'Speaking to local media, Citronelle Fire Chief John Simison added: 'Unfortunately, the building was a total loss due to the fire damage and the water damage.'Three tenants were left homeless and were staying with their families following the fire, authorities said.The Alabama State Fire Marshal said the cause is still being investigated.
