After Boris Johnson resigned as an MP, a local by-election will be taking place in Uxbridge, Greater London.   Here are how local residents are feeling about the key topics.

00:24 That's a good thing, really, because there's too many old cars on the road.

00:27 Yeah, yeah, because just make sure that wherever you buy a U-Letter is compliant.

00:30 Because a U-Letter is compliant means it's safe for everyone.

00:33 It's better for the environment, so yeah.

00:35 When quite a few people are not happy about the U-Letters coming through, you know,

00:39 I think that's really disgusting, really.

00:42 You know, you pay your taxes already to drive on the road, so why pay more?

00:47 Just have your car driving on the road.

00:52 They're only having a go at the ordinary person, you know.

00:56 They can't afford to drive.

00:58 Then they start driving illegally in the end.

01:06 Yeah, but on behalf of everybody that voted for Boris Johnson as our MP and Prime Minister,

01:14 it's completely wrong that they've taken our votes away from us, and now we've got to vote again.

01:20 I think I'm very concerned generally, as everybody else is, about the cost of living.

01:25 And I think that's a national issue for everybody, wherever you are.

01:30 Two things you've got to do.

01:31 You've got to invest in the young and you've got to invest in the old.

01:34 Social care is a problem for older people.

01:37 Young people and their education and all that's going on is a big issue.

01:41 And what links them together is mental health as well.

01:51 Consider it's right beside Heathrow, you know.
