This is the moment a landslide engulfed a mountain road following days of heavy rain in South Korea.CCTV footage shows a portion of a hillside crumbling in Jeongseon County in the mountainous northern province of Gangwon on July 13.Gangwon Governor Kim Jin-tae said there were no casualties or injuries as Jeongseon officials were able to preemptively evacuate the locals.He said: 'Jeongseon-gun office staff were able to prevent human accidents by predicting the landslide signs and completely controlling the roads a week ago. A billion won for emergency restoration has been provided to the mayor of Jeongseon County, and a detour will be built in the future.'Authorities said at least 26 people have died, dozens missing and thousands evacuated from their homes as torrential rains triggered landslides and flash floods across South Korea.Scientists have linked the extreme weather to climate change.
