Himachal floods: 70, 000 people rescued so far, informs Himachal DGP

According to Sanjay Kundu, DGP of Himachal Pradesh, over 70, 000 people have been evacuated thus far, including 687 visitors from 29 countries.

So far, 26 bodies have been discovered, with 18 retrieved from Kullu and 8 from Shrikhand Mahadev. A total of 22 persons are missing, and a search and rescue operation is ongoing.

“Around 70,000 people have been evacuated so far from Kullu...We have evacuated 687 tourists from 29 countries...We have found 18 bodies in Kullu and 8 in Shrikhand Mahadev, total of 26 dead bodies have been recovered and 22 people ARE missing...The search & rescue operation for the missing is underway...No one is stranded,” said Sanjay Kundu.
