Catching GIANT MUD CRABS For My First Time In The Pilbara!

As I rolled on into the remote location I planned on filming in, I was greeted by an unsuspecting family who were surprisingly viewers of this very channel! They politely asked for a photo on their phone, but I insisted that we can go one better!

I soon set up my camera and tripod for some group photos, and with their permission I asked if they would like to make a feature in this very episode, so they could soon watch themselves on the TV alongside myself. Next thing I knew, I was over at their location, completely distracted from my own plans, and filming the afternoon away as we all got to enjoy the fishing and crabbing along the creek banks together. It was a blast and I was very grateful for the opportunity.

Once the family had left, it was now just me, and my two Dobermans, Guthix, and Elmira.
Up they went into their dog crate on the back of the ute, and down I went into the water.
My plan all along was to specifically target Mud Crabs in their hidey holes along the creek beds and mangroves, once the tide had gone out.

Now with my floating fish bag, hand spear, and crab hook at hand, I set off waltzing through the current of an outgoing tide, into the afternoon sun, on the hunt for my VERY FIRST MUD CRAB!

What happens after that can only be seen, felt, and experienced, through the video.
No words can truly justify the excitement and exhilaration of finding and grabbing that first crab.
A moment I have dreamed of for so long, and one that I will never ever forget.
It was truly up there as one of the best moments in my life and YouTube journey, and I am so happy to have filmed the moment for my memories, and to share with you.

Thank you for watching
