Taiwan Hopes to Revive Pig Export Market

Taiwan has set aside USD$320 million to improve the safety of its pig export industry. It hopes the four-year investment will allow the country to regain a foothold in the international market. It hopes to be the first country in Asia to be free of foot and mouth, swine flu, and African swine flu, by next year.
