Japan ekes out 5-set win vs China in Volleyball Nations League

Japan's Ran Takahasi made sure to show his appreciation to his Filipino fans following his return here in the Philippines where he played for the Japanese national team against China in the 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Takahashi punched in 14 points as he helped Japan repulse China, 26-24, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-12 to stay perfect at 9-0 in the 16-team tournament. The open spiker said that the Filipino fans gave him and his team an extra shot of energy as they completed their comeback bid against the Chinese.
