Earth Was Just Hit by an X-Class Flare From the an Increasingly Active Sun

The Sun is approaching its solar maximum, set to reach the apex of its 11-year solar cycle in July 2025. As it approaches that point it will become more active and it recently let out an intense solar flare, one which caused disruptions in radio communications on Earth.
