KDPH Healthy Restaurant Initiative aims to help Kern County eat better

Five years after the creation of the Healthy Restaurant Initiative, the Kern County Department of Public Health says 31 local restaurants now offer healthy menus. For people looking to make a healthy change or just wanting to try something new, there are many options for healthier eating in Kern County, as many restaurants have collaborated with Public Health to offer what they call "certified healthy foods." 23ABC's Henry Flores talked to one certified healthy Bakersfield restauranteur to learn more about the initiative.
