Federal government to spend $2b on social housing as demand grows

The federal government’s one-off $2 billion investment in social housing will go towards new builds, or renovating and refurbishing existing but uninhabitable housing stock. Community Housing Industry Association CEO Wendy Hayhurst says the funding will help the social housing crisis.
