New Buick Electra E4 Introduced as Second Ultium EV for China.
Buick reveals the first official photos of the all-new Electra E4, a crossover coupe with electric powertrains and sweet tech.

It's well documented that China is a huge market for EVs and Buicks, so it should come as no surprise that the GM brand is launching two brand new all-electric crossovers on the market. Secondly, the Electra E4 was introduced today with a stylish design and a luxurious interior.

Buick calls the exterior of the Electra E4 "premium and sporty" and the influences of the Electra-X concept are clearly visible throughout. Like the Electra E5, it has slim "checkmark" headlights, a large lower grille and a sharp nose.

But towards the back, it really starts to differ from its big brother. The Electra E4 has a more sloping roofline that adds to the look of a "sporty" crossover coupe. Even better, the new EV will have a drag coefficient of 0.287, at least according to Chinese Autohome. This will help it cut through the air more efficiently and use battery power less.

Unfortunately, the driving range remains a mystery for the Electra E4, but we do know that it will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are not as energy intensive as lithium ion batteries.

But thanks to statements made by the Chinese government in January, we do know that the Electra E4 will be powered by a 241 hp (180 kW/245 PS) electric motor, and a twin-engine version is expected to be added to the range later. .

No matter how powerful the EV is, drivers will be surrounded by a sleek, modern interior and bathed in plenty of natural light, thanks to the 13 square feet (1.2 square meters) glass canopy. Buick used low-radiation glass to provide passengers with segment-leading UV protection.

The Tech will come in the form of an eye-catching 30-inch curved display that includes both the infotainment display and the driver display. It has 6K resolution and is powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip for lightning fast response times.

Passengers will also benefit from wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and 121-color ambient lighting. A voice assistant can also help drivers complete their tasks without taking their eyes off the road.

It is not yet clear when sales of the Electra E4 will begin, but reports suggest it will carry a price of between 200,000-300,000 yuan ($28,000 to $42,000 at current exchange rates).
