00:00 Hey guys, it's Sam, welcome back on my channel. Today's video is going to be a lip swatch video on the ELF moisturizing lipstick.
00:06 So I will be swatching all of them on my arms and on my lips and I will give you my thoughts at the end.
00:11 I quickly wanted to show you my natural lip color. As you can see, they're pretty pinky reddish tone.
00:16 So since these lipsticks are not all really pigmented, I will try to conceal my lips so the color is not too affected, especially with the more nude shades.

04:46 Now up to the review. I wanted to first say that ELF did send me these lipsticks to test them out, which obviously doesn't affect my opinion.
04:53 I still wanted to give you the swatches just because I know sometimes on the website you can't really tell what the color looks like.
04:59 You order something and you get it and you're like, "That's really not what I thought it was." So that's why I really wanted to swatch them on my lips.
05:05 The formula is kind of hit and miss. I feel like some of them don't go as even as others. I feel like some of them emphasize any dry patches, any fine lines on your lips if you have any.
05:14 Some of the colors look really bright in the tube and don't show up whatsoever at the same brightness like the one that I'm wearing right now.
05:21 This one is the Flirty and Fabulous. It looks really like a bright pink like Candy Yum Yum by MAC, but on the lips it's really more wearable, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your taste.
05:30 So ELF advertises these lipsticks as being really moisturizing, shiny, and long-lasting. I have to agree about the moisturizing part.
05:38 There's Shea Butter, Vitamin E, C&E, and I agree that these are the most moisturizing that they do, but I don't necessarily agree that they are extremely long-lasting.
05:47 I do feel like my lips don't feel dry throughout the day, but I do feel like I have to reapply, especially the lighter shades.
05:54 Some of the darkest ones tend to leave a stain, so after three hours, lighter shades I would have to reapply. Darker shades, not as much, but I still prefer to look when they are perfectly even and just freshly applied.
06:05 As for being a vibrant color, like I said earlier, some of them are more vibrant than others.
06:10 My two least favorite colors would have to be Deep Party and The Buff, which is the lightest shade.
06:14 This one just does not go on even whatsoever. It emphasizes any particle of lips or skin all over your lips. It just was a mess on my lips.
06:23 The second one I like the least is probably the one that I'm wearing right now. I feel like it's just the hardest to pull off because, once again, it is a white base like Deep Party and The Buff one.
06:32 Plus, it doesn't go perfectly even, and when you rub your lips, you can just see some unevenness.
06:37 Plus, yeah, white base, bright orange, not the most wearable one. That one was Coral Cutie.
06:43 I feel like the three colors they came out with recently are actually the best formula, so I'm not sure if they changed something.
06:49 But I do feel like they will go on more even, more opaque, more vibrant. Like the one I'm wearing right now is really a bright orange, and I just love them a lot more.
06:57 So overall, if you love really moisturizing lipstick that will give you just a flush of color, just being really wearable for a daily basis, I highly recommend them.
07:05 Are they my favorite formula from e.l.f.? Actually, I still prefer the matte lip colors, which are amazing, so pigmented.
07:12 But if you find these too drying and you just prefer something that is really moisturizing, I highly recommend trying them.
07:17 So my favorite everyday color would have to be Pink Minx, the Wing Pink, and the Flirty and Fabulous.
07:24 For the boldest shade, I would have to say Orange Dream and the one that I'm wearing right now, Wine Tour. So basically, the new shades.
07:30 For the sheer but buildable red shade, I would have to go with Red Carpet and Velvet Rope.
